This was a gem. We stopped for something to do ended up staying for about 2 hours. Lots of great information about the area. Really enjoyed the library.

Birds, bees, boats, and more. Nice place to wander for an hour and soak up some history of the Driftless Region. Relaxing little library upstairs-- right next to the rattlesnakes, to boot!

I visited Lansing, where I lived for 19 years. I visited Lansing last month. I toured the Drifters museum and was really impressed with this beautiful place, located on one of the most beautiful curve's on the main Channel of the Mississippi River. A building full of history of the area and the river. It is worth a trip to Northern Iowa to visit one of the most beautiful sites in that area. While in Lansing I would suggest you make a visit to Horsfalls in Downtown Lansing on Main Street. A kinda of Variety Store you don't see any more. You will love it.

‘The Common Feeder Birds of Iowa’ workshop was so very worthwhile. Presenter Kelly McKay was able to impart his very valuable knowledge. I look forward to attending the next workshop on the 13th and 14th of November. Thank you to Ross and supportive Driftless Center staff in providing this workshop.

Very interesting place to stop and stretch your legs. There are many exhibits related to the area, including several live animal enclosures. If you are into photography, decks on the building provide wonderful views of the town of Lansing, the Mississippi River and boat access areas. Team members at this location aren't in-your-face, but very friendly and helpful if you ask a question.

Nice spot for a stop when traveling along the Mississippi River road. Located on the South end of the small town of Lansing, this place offers a glimpse into life on the river from long ago, as well as live displays of river wildlife. Two observation decks offer great views of activity on the river.
